About Stainless Steel Test Drum

The drum is equipped with a sealed interlayer electric heating & circulating system, which heats and circulates the liquid inside the interlayer of the drum so that the solution in the drum is heated and then be held at that temperature. This is the key feature which differs from the other temperature-controlled drum. The drum body has the advantage of fine structure so that it can be cleaned thoroughly without any residual solution, thus eliminating any phenomenon of dyeing defect or color shading. The quick-operated drum door features light and sensitive in opening & closing operation as well as excellent sealing performance. The door plate is made of superior performance and full transparent, high temperature and corrosion resistant toughened glass so that operator can observe the processing conditions timely.

The drum body and its frame are totally made of superior stainless steel featuring beautiful appearance. A safety guard is provided to the drum for the purpose of security and reliability of operation.

The driving system is a belt (or chain) type driving system equipped with a frequency converter for speed regulation.

The electrical control system controls forward, backward, inch & stop operations of the drum body, as well as timing operation and temperature control.

Driving System

The drum is driven by a motor through belts (or chain) driving system and its rotation speed is regulated by means of a frequency converter.

The driving system consists of a variable speed motor, V-belt, (or coupling), worm & worm wheel speed reducer, a small chain wheel (or belt wheel) mounted on the shaft of the speed reducer and a big chain wheel (or belt wheel) on the drum.

This driving system has the advantages of easy in operation, low in noise, stable and smooth in start & running and sensitive in speed regulation.

Interlayer Heating & Circulating System

The interlayer heating & circulating system of this drum is the key future which differs from the other temperature-controlled drums. It is mainly composed of a hot water circulating pump, a bidirectional rotating connector, an electric heater, and piping system. The heated liquid is circulated in the interlayer by the hot water circulating pump so that the heat can be transmitted into the drum to heat the solution inside the drum. There is a temperature sensor in the circulating system through which the solution temperature is indicated on the programming controller.
